In 1951 the predecessor of the Põlva County newspaper Koit - the first number of the newspaper Bolshevik Lipp. The name of the Bolshevik flag was born in the Põlva page for almost two years - on 1 January 1953 the page was renamed and named Koit. This neutral and short name has remained until today. The main activity is publishing - publishing the Põlvamaa newspaper Koit.
