Salmela Erkki HKM, valokuvaaja
Ostoskeskuksen yhteyteen rakennettu samanaikainen lämpökeskus on säilynyt harvinaisen hyvin. Ostoskeskuksen pohjakaava ja sommitelma on muuttunut jonkin verran myöhemmän lisärakentamisen myötä. Etenkin Rusthollarintien puoleisten lasisten kioskinoppien yhdistäminen on vaikuttanut ostoskeskuksen ilmeeseen. Ostoskeskus liittyy historiallisesti ympäröivään Puotilan 1960-luvun alun asuinkerrostaloalueeseen, mutta arkkitehtuurin osalta sillä on oma vahva kaupallisen rakennuksen identiteettinsä.
The Puotila shopping centre was designed by architect Erkki Karvinen and it was completed in 1961. Low, linear shopping center, built around an uncovered atritum. A wide white list above the glass facades creates a horizontal look. The simultaneous thermal centre built in connection with the shopping centre has remained unusually well. The shopping mall's base formula and envelope have changed somewhat with further construction. In particular, the merger of the glass kioskinopes on the sides of Rusthollarintis has affected the appearance of the shopping centre. The shopping centre is historically connected to the residential floor area of Puotila in the early 1960s, but with regard to the architecture it has its own strong commercial building identity.
