Saesaare hydroelectric power plant is located on the Ahja River in Põlva County. The hydroelectric power plant is located at the border of Vastse-Kuuste municipality and Põlva municipality, so the hydroelectric power plant building, auxiliary building and substation are located on the land of the village of Põlva municipality, the soil body, access road and bridge, and water branches are located on the territory of the village of Kiidjärvi.[1] The power of the power station in 2011 was 170 kW, in 2012 97 kW.
In 1991 the Saesaare hydroelectric power plant was privatised and managed by as Generaator.
