Länsimäki. Ensimmäisen maailmansodan aikainen maalinnoitus, puolustusasema II:8 Länsimäessä, Vantaalla. Kuvassa näkyy kallioon louhittua, betonilla tuettua taisteluhautaa aseman pohjoisosassa. Rintasuojan alaosassa on torjuntasuunnan puolella ampumakoroke, jonka päälle on kasvanut ruohoa. Samaan rintasuojaan on tehty myös ampumatarvikekomero. Yläreunan betonipäällys on paikoin murtunut pois. Vasemmalla on sivustasuoja eli traverssi, jonka vasemmalla puolella erottuu räjäytetyn suojahuoneen betoniseinät. Kuvassa äärioikealla näkyy toinen betoninen suojahuone, jonka katto on räjäytetty. Taustalla on asuinrakennuksia. Kuvaussuuntana pohjoinen.
Westmäki. Painting fortification before the First World War, defence station II:8 in Westmäki, Vantaa. The picture shows the fighting whale that has been crushed into the rock and supported with concrete in the northern part of the station. On the bottom of the fence protection there is a fire lift on the side of the pest direction, on which the grass has grown. The same chest protection has also been fitted with a firearm. The upper edge of concrete is broken out in places. On the left there is a side guard or a traverse, with concrete walls of the exploded protective room separated on the left side. In the picture on the extreme right there is another concrete protective room with a roof exploded. The background is residential buildings. In the direction of the image north.
